The Science Behind Why Stem Cells Benefit the Skin

Hello! With our recent launch of the àroh collection, one of the SECRET KEY ingredients in their range is the Human Adipose Stromal Cell Conditioned Media. You're probably thinking what does that even mean? In layman terms, it is scientifically cultured stem cells that is safe to be used on the skin. Sounds creepy? We can assure its not!

In fact stem cells had been studied and researched for many decades pointing to promoting wound healing and anti-ageing effects from growth factor secretion to increased collagen and elastin production and providing antioxidants for the skin. Everywhere you look these days there are raves about how important it is to have stem cells in your skincare as they are considered the cutting-edge of anti-ageing effects. But HOW does it work?

Stem cells have the ability to renew or change into different cells and are the essential building blocks to assist in healthy skin cell growth. They are literally found everywhere in the body and are constantly in communication with other cells in the body to provide overall health. Growth factors are one of the many cells that stem cells get converted into, they provide strength to the skin barrier function and give an overall rejuvenating appearance by slowing down the ageing process such as minimising fine lines and wrinkles. From this, you can say its a natural and safe bet on anti-ageing.

These stem cells are considered to be excellent at multitasking because they can pretty much deal with all sorts of skin concerns from lines to pigment to skin firming, you name it! The àroh range have EGF (epidermal growth factor) and BFGF (basic fibroblast growth factor). They are basically in charge of telling your skin cells to behave and act like they are young again and again so the skin will always try to be young and slow down ageing. Magic isn't it!

So if you want to stay ahead with your anti-ageing game, stem cells are the way to go!

Bye for now :)
